Monitor ERP user seminar day and 10th anniversary dinner
In commemoration of Monitor ERP's 10th anniversary in Southeast Asia, the Team Southeast Asia hosted the inaugural Monitor User Seminar Day & 10th Anniversary Dinner, marking a monumental milestone in the history of Monitor SEA.
User seminar – an enlightening day of insight and networking
On November 8th, we have the privilege of celebrating this significant occasion with distinguished guests. Our esteemed attendees, which numbered around 300, included valued customers, partners, and colleagues from across the globe including Sweden, China, and Singapore. The venue was none other than the Grand Ballroom of G Hotel Gurney, Penang.
The event was divided into two distinct sessions: the Monitor User Seminar Day in the afternoon and the 10th Anniversary Dinner in the evening. The afternoon session provided a platform for our attendees to interact closely with not only our dedicated support team, but also development, consultants, and sales. The foyer also featured the Machine Integration (Mi) and other engaging elements such as interactive flip boards, a themed photo booth under ‘Sustainability by Monitor’, and an enchanting Swedish-inspired entrance arch.
The User Seminar Day was a treasure trove of knowledge, with presentations by our key leaders. The sessions included ‘Sustainability by Monitor’ presented by Daniel Häggmark, ‘Web Client & Business Intelligence (BI)’ by Stefan Olsson, and ‘E-invoicing’ by Yeong Yin and Tyreal Tai. During the breaks, attendees enjoyed Fika and indulged in coffee, tea, and Swedish delicacies.
Earlier today, you had the opportunity to witness the launch of Monitor ERP’s innovative new functionality, “Sustainability by Monitor”. This groundbreaking feature allows manufacturers to perform sustainability calculations and measure the climate impact of their manufacturing activities down to the component level. This not only ensures readiness and competitiveness, especially for those exporting to Europe, but it also aligns with the growing demand for ESG reporting and contributes to more sustainable and responsible production.
Monitor SEA 10th Anniversary Dinner - an evening of delight and nostalgia
Before the evening ceremony kicked off, our guests indulged in delectable canapés and beverages while engaging in lively conversations. The delightful atmosphere was serenaded by the captivating tunes of Ray Rozells, a beloved musician within the Monitor community and an icon in Penang’s music scene.
The Monitor 10th Anniversary Dinner commenced with the arrival of YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang, and was greeted by His Excellency Dr. Joachim Bergström, Ambassador of Sweden to Malaysia, Group CEO, Morgan Persson, Owner, Jörgen Persson, and CEO of Southeast Asia, Daniel Häggmark.
The event saw ‘Somebody Who’ rocking the stage, infusing energy into the atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a diverse culinary experience that appealed to local and international palates.
To reflect on Monitor Southeast Asia's journey, a 10-year flashback video was presented, telling the story about our visionary founder, Åke Persson, and his transformative ideas. The video paid tribute to the dedicated companies who contributed to the company’s growth in Southeast Asia, including our valued customers, trusted partners, inspiring leaders, and employees.
The highlight of the evening was a mesmerizing laser show. Accompanied by grand music and futuristic lighting, the laser show vividly portrayed the essence of Monitor ERP’s journey from Sweden to Southeast Asia, serving as a medium to express our appreciation to our valued customers, partners, leaders, and employees.
To express our gratitude to our customers, we presented Monitor ERP Excellence Gala, where we extended ‘Timeless Appreciation’ awards to those who have been steadfast supporters since the inception of our journey, including Prestige Dynamics Industries Sdn. Bhd. and High Ace Industries Sdn. Bhd. The vinyls, presented as tokens of our appreciation, resemble the classic tracks, their contributions have been key to our growth.
Recognizing exceptional achievements, we proudly awarded the 'Best-in-class Monitor ERP Implementation' award to 13 remarkable customers who have played pivotal roles in our success story in Southeast Asia. They are:

Monitor ERP wins prestigious ERP System of the Year award
Monitor ERP has won the 2022 edition of the ERP System of the Year award, in Potsdam, Germany, in the category for manufacturing companies. The jury was won over by Monitor’s plans in the area of sustainability, to adapt the system for more environmentally friendly production.

On April 19, the Factory Innovation Awards were presented at the Hannover Messe. Monitor ERP took first prize in “The Sustainable factory” category. The winner was chosen by an independent jury of experts. The decisive factors in the category were functions in the area of sustainability reporting and carbon dioxide emission calculation.

At Monitor ERP System, we take sustainability seriously and have taken significant steps to meet the demands of sustainability and environmental awareness. With Sustainability by Monitor, we are taking a big step forward. By using Sustainability by Monitor, our customers will be able to measure their environmental impact, evaluate it and take strategic measures to reduce emissions and consumption of resources. After a year of work, it is now an integral part of our ERP system, with Fredrik Tåneland as one of the developers involved.
