A successful G5 upgrade in trying times
Belton Group is an established Automotive Suspension and Brake Parts & Components Manufacturer in Malaysia. They are well equipped and have been improving their integrated in-house R&D, Manufacturing and Testing facilities and capabilities since their establishment in 1977.
As an experienced Monitor G4 user, BELTON Group has recently made the decision to upgrade to the latest G5 version of Monitor to keep up with market demands. As with any technology, innovations happen in the blink of an eye and G5 boasts new features and an improved GUI that greatly enhances overall functionality and is much more user friendly.
Monitor G5 brings about improved transparency and efficiency, which will prove to be a significant step-up for BELTON Group in their day-to-day operations. Inventory control will also be a major area where we expect our customer to experience higher efficiencies in especially with improved process flows built into G5s system architecture.
Being a heavy user of the Manufacturing and Accounting modules, the new Malaysia Country Package included in G5 will definitely streamline BELTON’s finance operations. The results and statistics available in G5 are truly next generation and a welcome addition to our customer’s Finance Department.
Although the project went well, it was not smooth sailing all the way as the COVID19 pandemic posed some major challenges for this implementation project. Due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) by the Malaysian Government back in April, BELTON’s employees were not allowed to be in the office. As such, our consultants had to carry out the G5 training online.
Since the pandemic hit without much warning, this also meant that our customers were also caught by surprise and did not have the proper facilities for online training in place at the beginning. But their commitment and dedication had come through and made the online training a success despite the shortcomings of the situation.
It was a learning experience for not only BELTON Group, but also for Monitor as well, as the adverse environmental conditions had helped us adapt to cater to an online, user focused learning mode regardless of the trainer and trainee’s physical location.
ERP System implementation projects are usually a team effort that requires the support from both the customer side as well as the system provider’s side. This has been the key to the success of BELTON Group’s Monitor G5 upgrade as it is for many of our other customer success stories.
We congratulate BELTON Group once again for a successful upgrade to Monitor G5 and look forward to helping more local manufacturers realize their untapped potential with a well-placed, fully integrated ERP System.
