“Everything under one roof” – project-based manufacturing with Monitor ERP.
Falköping (Sweden) based C&D Snickeri is a manufacturer of wood interiors. Each new customer means a new project with new products. This places high demands on an ERP system. “It's important for us that the ERP system can manage the rapid flow of parts and products that pass through our doors. We rarely make the same product twice,” explains Emil Carlson, site manager.
Monitor ERP is a standard system which is built for all types of manufacturing companies. Whether a company is making circuit boards, plastic bags, brake pads or semi-skinned milk, there’s always a way to streamline processes and make work easier with Monitor ERP. C&D Snickeri works mainly with the design and manufacture of furniture and wood product interiors. No two projects are the same, so each new job begins with registering new parts in the system.
Around 40 employees are based at its factory in Falköping, designing, manufacturing and assembling interiors for open-plan offices and various public spaces, hotels and shop fitting projects, etc.
"We have a project department which manages projects from start to finish. It's important for us that the ERP system can manage the rapid flow of parts and products that pass through our doors. We rarely make the same product twice. So we have a rapid process flow, for both purchase and delivery," Emil adds.
Monitor enables C&D to follow up on what is manufactured, purchases, suppliers’ delivery reliability, and the delivery reliability provided to its customers.
“We can also see if our time planning for manufacturing is correct. If we need to purchase anything, we're informed in good time.”

C&D is FSC certified, and Monitor is a big help in this area, with traceability of purchases, invoice management, products manufactured, and all the processes within production.
“This is a big plus, and makes our audits much easier,” Emil adds.
Within its production, C&D has chosen not to divide different types of work in different operations.
“The joiners' time is their own. They clock in when they start and get right down to work. CNC and surface handling have their own operations, to keep them apart. We have lots of skilled and competent joiners. They're involved from start to finish, and handle all our different operations. From sawing panels and planing timber, they're involved until the product is packed and ready for delivery.”
C&D Snickeri works mainly with projects. It could be making simple cabinets in large quantities, advanced stair coverings, or reception desks. The Project register in Monitor gives an overview of hours worked, purchases, and the invoicing status of orders to customers, etc.
“We also manage follow-up of our projects here. This is where we do forecasts, compare with budget, and make our own estimates on the project's financial progress. Having all this under one roof is a major plus for us,” he adds.
