DRB-HICOM's subsidiaries, HICOM Diecastings Sdn. Bhd., Hicom-Yamaha Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., and HICOM-Teck See Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., have successfully gone live with Monitor ERP, marking a significant milestone in their operational journey. 

Following a recommendation from their sister company, HICOM Automotive Manufacturers (Malaysia) (HAMM), they chose Monitor ERP. This transformation, completed in just four months, underscores their commitment to efficiency and innovation.

DRB-HICOM has been a long-standing player in Malaysia’s automotive sector, with Proton as the branding and monument for its success. The collaboration with international automotive brands such as Mercedes, Volkswagen, Suzuki, Honda, and Mitsubishi has propelled DRB-HICOM to a leadership position in domestic production and played a significant role in shaping market trends.

Founded in 1985 and owned by DRB-HICOM Berhad, HICOM Diecastings is a leading provider of precision aluminum die-cast solutions, supplying major names in the automotive and motorcycle industries, including Proton, Modenas, and Kawasaki. Their commitment to quality and continuous improvement has been central to their success. In December, HICOM Diecastings sought a system to automate their manufacturing processes and reduce manual paperwork, overcoming the limitations of their previous fully customized system. 

With Monitor ERP's Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) feature, HICOM Diecastings now automates most of their communications with customers and suppliers, electronically transferring business documents such as orders and forecasts directly to the system. This has streamlined their processes and enhanced customer satisfaction through timely and accurate communications. As a result, HICOM Diecastings successfully went live with Monitor ERP in just six months, marking a new era of efficiency and productivity for the company.

Founded in 1983, Hicom-Yamaha Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Hicom Yamaha) is the only Yamaha motorcycle engine manufacturer in Malaysia, excelling in assembling motorcycle engines, machining precision parts, and painting metal and plastic components. In December, Hicom Yamaha recognized the need for an integrated ERP system to improve data management and operational efficiency. 

Monitor ERP unified Hicom Yamaha's data across various departments, providing a single source of truth and enhancing data traceability from operations to accounting. This system reduced manual paperwork, eliminated frequent updates, and provided real-time data, improving stock management and operational efficiency. The successful implementation of Monitor ERP in just four months marked a significant milestone for Hicom Yamaha, positioning them for future growth and success.
