Duro steps up production with Monitor G5
The Gävle-based wallpaper manufacturer, Duro, has its sights set on expansion. And to do so, it needed an ERP system which was equipped to take the company forward. “To handle a larger process flow, we needed an ERP system that was more efficient and wouldn’t cost administrative time. Here we can see that Monitor can help us in our future development,” explains Elin Lovén, Chief Financial Officer at Duro.
The success of Duro’s brand is based on a long-term vision. Ever since it was founded in 1930, the company has focused on producing high-end, quality wallpaper. Every stage of the process takes place in-house at the company’s factory in Gävle – from design to finished roll, ready for sale.
Duro recently switched to to Monitor G5. The system it ran previously couldn’t take the company in the direction the industry was moving in.
“We chose Monitor because we wanted a standardized ERP system. The ERP system we have right now has a large number of customer-specific adaptations which are expensive and time-consuming to update,” explains Elin Lovén, Chief Financial Officer at Duro.
We can now handle everything in Monitor without having to change systems, which we see as a massive plus.
When Duro chose Monitor, a key requirement was that production planning could be handled in the ERP system. It had previously used a separate system for this purpose, which meant it was forced to export and move data between the systems in a time-consuming process.
“We base our production planning on sales history, and now we can handle everything within Monitor without having to change systems, which we see as a massive plus,” Lovén adds.
Duro’s aim is to be the customer’s first choice when it comes to home renovation. And as part of this vision, the company has an increasing number of orders and rate of production.
“In this area, we’ve seen that Monitor can help us to handle a larger process flow. We needed an ERP system that was effective, and wouldn’t cost us administrative time. Monitor will be able to help us in our future development,” explains Elin Lovén.
